The Calm after the (Big/Little) Storm
We made it everyone! After a few weeks of waiting and crafting until my hands were completely covered in paint, we made it to big/little reveal! This past Saturday, I welcomed Veronica home to the Sparkle Family in Ohio Northern's chapter of Delta Zeta. For our reveal we took polaroid photos where I stood behind her and we waited for the photo to develop for her to discover that it was me the whole time! My clues had her pretty fooled and watching her face light up when she saw me was something I don't think I'll ever forget.
As I move forward with my time in the chapter, I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to be a big sister to someone as special as Veronica. She is loving, bubbly and enthusiastic through every moment and situation she faces. These optimistic qualities are ones that I hope to learn from her myself as we continue to grow in our relationship. Of course it's fun to craft for weeks on end and give your little clues to attempt tricking her into thinking you're someone else. These things are really the focus as you go into reveal, but now that it is over it's time to change that attitude toward mentorship, sisterhood and love. I cannot wait to tell you all more about our adventures as they come, so stay tuned going forward!
I love to read big/little stories. I am so happy for you! I'm happy you got the little you wanted and I'm happy she was so excited to see you! I just recently became a big as well and I can relate when you say you will remember the smile on her face for the rest of your life. Big/little relationships are so strong and I hope your relationship with your little blossoms into something great. Congrats Allie.
