Paid Media and Marketing
As I spend time here at Ohio Northern attempting to earn a degree in Healthcare Business (with a focus in marketing) I find myself thinking of different ways that I can help future patients. You see, my goal is to end up in a job where I'm working within a specific hospital system's marketing team. My greatest passion has always been in the medical field, and I find pure joy in helping others with their everyday health. At the end of the day, we all deserve to live. That being said I am really intrigued by paid media and its relationship with marketing. I can see myself using this by having a paid media campaign within various social platforms to help raise awareness for the services my given system is especially skilled in. This is a great way to pull in new patients to receive top quality care within their own living area.
Paying for media attention isn't unethical as some people may view it as. For organizations such as hospitals it's significantly more difficult to use social media since we don't exactly have people like beauty bloggers and influencers to tell their followers about us. By paying to get our message out to people within our local area we find ways to bring care to more people than ever before.
