Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson Collection Reveal

Alright, I'm sure at least a few of you saw this post coming. Recently I've been really into writing about the beauty industry with a focus on the upcoming collaboration between Jeffree Star Cosmetics (JSC) and YouTube star Shane Dawson. There has been an ongoing documentary on the platform about the process of creating this collection over the past year which has captivated millions of viewers since it began a few weeks ago. As the launch date is set for this Friday, we finally got a glimpse at the final product during the video that was released last night! 

As a makeup lover myself, this was a really exciting release that I've been waiting for months to see. Included in the collection is two eyeshadow palettes, liquid lipsticks, a new lip gloss and various accessories such as makeup mirrors and travel bags. The collection is MASSIVE. Jeffree has mentioned that this release is going to be his company's holiday collection for this year, forgoing any additional launches since they expect this to sell out within one day. Millions of units have been ordered for the release on Friday and it is still expected to sell out. This really goes to show the power that social media has on the entire beauty industry. I wouldn't be surprised if the website crashes soon after the launch due to the amount of traffic it is going to receive so quickly. The social media team for JSC has to be prepared and on top of their game for this launch, making sure that they are prepared for any issues that could arise with the website, shipping or other customer service topics. 

Those of us that have been waiting all year for the launch cannot wait to see how fast it sells in addition to the videos that will be released of what it is like on the behind the scenes aspect of a huge launch. Check back next week for some more information on how it goes!
